About the Awards

Since 2000, COATT has awarded over 90 Michigan teachers recognition for their outstanding accomplishments in effectively integrating technology into their teaching. The award has four levels - one for student teachers, one for practicing teachers, one for first year teaching, and a team award. The award is known as the Michigan Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology (MCOATT).

Any teacher can apply for the MCOATT by developing an electronic portfolio of their work and submitting it to COATT for evaluation by a panel of experts from Michigan schools and higher education. Links below highlight the accomplishments and portfolios of Michigan's best technology-using teachers who have been honored by COATT.
