Teacher Preparation Programs – An official listing
of programs approved by the Office of Professional Preparation Services
of the Michigan Department of Education.
Eastern Michigan University – EMU
offers a fully-online 18-credit certificate or a 30-credit Masters
degree that will lead to the NP endorsement.
Wayne
State University – WSU
offers an 18-credit program for graduate students seeking a degree
in programs in Teacher Education or in Instructional Technology.
Future Programs
In January 2005, fourteen institutions attended a workshop to learn
more about this endorsement and are considering adding the endorsement
to their graduate programs. These include: Albion, Aquinas, Baker,
Ferris, Grand Valley, Hillsdale, Lawrence Tech, Marygrove, Michigan
State, Oakland, Saginaw Valley, UM-Dearborn, UM-Flint, and University
of Detroit-Mercy. The following institutions have included additional
information about their plans:
Ferris State University - The College of Education and Human Services
and College of Technology at Ferris State University are collaborating
to create an Endorsement in Educational Technology that will be applied
to their Master's Degree Program.
