Portfolio Judging

Every portfolio submitted to COATT is judged by a three-member expert panel that includes K-12 practitioners and teacher education faculty. Portfolios must be technically correct as well as meeting the performance critieria specified in the COATT rubrics. Approximately half of all submitted portfolios are accepted for the award, although the majority rejected are because the portfolios are incomplete or have links that do not work rather than for inadequate content. Individuals submitting portfolios are encouraged to carefully check their portfolios before submission and have others review them as well to be sure they work.

The following materials are helpful for those who serve as judges. Specific instructions on portfolio development and application processes are found in the "See Also" links on the right.
